It’s always a pleasure to connect with Father Mugagga Lule when he returns from a trip to Uganda and St. Elizabeth Girls’ Academy. – Cristen
This past October I went home. It is always a wonderful experience to see the girls, and especially to meet the new ones. The girls’ home is a little bit more crowded than the past years because of the fire that burnt down the oldest main building. We were still debating whether to demolish the structure, but the people who donated the lot were of the view that we should not tear it down because it has some cultural history attached to it. We have plans to put up a new temporary structure on the property until our campus becomes a reality.
Never the less, the girls are happy and very appreciative of every little thing that they have. Their level of appreciation is what gives others and me the motivation to try to do all we can to give them a fairly good future. I am confident that with God’s help, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of these underprivileged girls.
I would like to thank everyone, especially Cristen, for the constant effort and support she offers to make sure that the girls’ home continues to offer services to these girls. I thank you all our donors for your amazing generosity. May God bless you all – Father Mugagga Lule
We look forward to Father Mugagga’s updates. We continue our fundraising for our new campus, and $4.5 million makes this a reality. It will allow us to move from providing a hand-up from 200 to 1,000 girls per year.
Peace and Love,
Cristen
